participated in the "Brigadas Ecologicas" contest of the Municipality of Cochabamba with two of the garden project’s schools, San Antonio and Carlos Medinacelli. The two schools were among the five prize winners awarded 4000 Bs. each to support the execution of their project proposal. Carlos Medinacelli used the award to support an urban agriculture project cultivating vegetables and herbs in recycled containers while San Antonio dedicated the award to the realization of a recreational garden in their schoolyard.
supported the institution Amanecer by giving theoretical classes on horticulture at the gardening project at the House San Martin near Quillacollo.
Prepared a proposal for the construction of greenhouses, in the North of Potosi, to support the production of local produce. The locally grown produce will support the five refectories of VOSERDEM and help grant local independence from the costly imports of Cochabamba. (proposal in collaboration with VOSERDEM).
Participated in the "II feria de la Comunicación Agropecuaria". An agricultural fair whose objective was informing local residents on topics of agricultural development. The fair was organized by the "Colegio de Ingenieros Agronomos y Profesionales en Ciencias agropecuarias de Bolivia, filial Cochabamba" (CIAB-CBB), with the support of the studies of Sociology of the University of San Simon, Cochabamba, 11-13 October 2008
